Shamanic healing is grounded in the ideas and practices that have guided health, wellness, and healing for much of human history. It is a belief in the human ability to connect with and be guided by the inherent spirituality of nature, and in turn set the stage for healing. In practice, shamanic healing recognizes the “mind in body,” a concept present in many traditional healing methods such as the Ayurvedic and Chinese medical systems. Similar ideas are beginning to shape modern medicine as the mind appears to have influence over the autonomic nervous system, the immune system, endocrine/hormonal systems, and even impacts the expression of our DNA. In this unconscious realm of the “mind in body,” Shamanic healing looks for imprints of developmental and ancestral trauma that may underlie physical and psychological illness. By identifying and releasing these imprints, a person can be brought back into balance and be better supported through their own healing process.

She has a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the Board of Medicine in Minnesota and Oregon. She is nationally certified in Acupuncture through NCCAOM and holds a Certification in Bach Flower Essence Therapy. The movement can be large and expressive, it can be only a breath, or the movement of qi (energy) from a needle insertion, even the vibration of a flower …but it will always speak to your soul. It will always make a change in your cellular body as well as your energetic body when used with careful intention. I am trauma-informed trained, and am here to gently support you, in your own timing, with your personal journey of wellness, and finding a more comfortable life.”

Sarah comes to CCH with over 17 years of experience in patient care. She has spent the majority of her career as a physical therapist working in out-patient orthopedic settings. She has been fortunate to have exposure with all different types of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Sarah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Kansas. She then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The College of St. Catherine. Sarah is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is certified in Dry Needling and Graston Technique
